Shanghai pak choi with shiitake and spring onion
Steamed Chinese Shanghai pak choi with stir-fried shiitake, spring onion, onion, and ginger with oyster sauce and sesame seeds.

Roast the sesame seeds in a frying pan without oil or butter in 3 min. Golden brown. Let cool on a plate.

Put the paksoi in a steam basket or pan and steam in approx. 10 min. Until done.

Meanwhile, peel the ginger and cut it fine. Cut the shiitakes into quarters and the spring onions in rings. Chop the onion.

Heat the oil in a frying pan and fry the ginger and onion for 2 minutes. Add the shiitakes and stir-fry 3 min.

Stir in the oyster sauce with the sambal and the water. Pour it at the shiitakes and stir fry for another 1 min.

Put the paksoi in a bowl and spread the shiitakes with the sauce over it.

Sprinkle with the sesame seeds and the spring onions.
