Spicy cheese fondue with king prawns
A tasty recipe. The main course contains the following ingredients: fish, oil, onion (chopped), garlic (finely chopped), fresh ginger (grated), red pepper (finely chopped), dry white wine, goat cheese (ground (a 150 g)), gruyere cheese ) (grated), cornstarch, prawns ((500 g, frozen) and thawed).
- 3 el oil
- 1 onion finely chopped
- 1 toe garlic finely chopped
- 2 cm fresh ginger grated
- 1 Red pepper finely chopped
- 300 ml dry white wine
- 2 bags goat cheese ground (a 150 g)
- 200 g gruyere (cheese) grated
- 1 el cornstarch
- 1 bag gambas (500 g, freezer), thawed
Heat 2 tbsp oil in a special cheese fondue pan or a pan with a thick bottom.
Fry the onion with the garlic, until it looks glassy.
Add the ginger and half of the red pepper and cook for a while.
Pour in the wine and bring to the boil.
Stir in the 2 types of cheese in portions and let them melt slowly.
Do not add the next serving of cheese until the previous portion is completely melted.
Stir in a piece of cornstarch with 2 tbsp water and pour it with stirring through the fondue.
Bring the mixture to a boil, until the fondue starts to bind after 2-3 minutes.
If necessary, dilute with a little wine and season with (freshly ground) pepper.
Heat the grill pan.
Spread the prawns thinly with the rest of the oil and grill them in 4-5 min.
Until done, turn halfway.
Sprinkle the cheese fondue with the rest of the red pepper.
Put the cheese fondue pan on the table on the burner (or the pan with a thick bottom on a rack).
Serve with the king prawns.
Delicious with ciabatta bread..
