                            Stewed beef in coconut milk
A delicious indonesian recipe. The main course contains the following ingredients: meat, lean beef steaks, onion, garlic, sereh, ginger root, oil, koenjit, laos, sambal oelek, coconut milk, bay leaves and salt.

                                Cut meat into dice. Peel and chop onion and garlic. Remove lemongrass outer leaf and halve stem. Peel the ginger root and cut into slices.

                                Heat oil in frying pan and fry meat with onion, garlic, koenjit, laos and sambal for about 3 minutes. Add coconut milk, ginger, lemongrass and bay leaves. Meat must be submitted. Cook meat gently in about 2 1/2 hours. Stir occasionally. Last 10 minutes remove the lid from the pan and reduce the sauce on a high heat. Bring tangy salt to taste. Remove lemon grass, ginger slices and bay leaves. Serve with rice.
