Cut the cod into 4 x 4 cm pieces. and get them through the flower. Peel the garlic and cut into slices.

Heat in a pan with thick olive oil and fry in about 3 min. The garlic golden brown and crispy. Remove the garlic from the pan with a slotted spoon and keep separate.

Place the pieces of fish in the hot oil and fry on both sides for about 1 minute until golden brown. Lower the heat and let the fish simmer for about 30 minutes on a low heat, halfway through.

Shake the pan back and forth from time to time to release fish juices and create a slightly thicker sauce.

Meanwhile, chop the chives and parsley. Add the herbs and garlic at the end of the cooking time. Carefully scoop through the fish and oil. Season the dish with pepper and salt.

Serve with boiled or baked potatoes.
