Stewed ham-pieces with prunes
A tasty Dutch recipe. The main course contains the following ingredients: meat, hamlaps (at room temperature), Chinese five spice powder, butter, baking bacon, red onion (chopped), garlic (finely chopped), prunes without spice ((a 375 g), in strips) and cider or apple juice (at room temperature).
sprinkle hampen with five spice powder, 1/2 tsp salt and pepper.
Fry butter in a frying pan and fry ham pegs in 5 minutes.
remove the hampen from the pan and bake crispy bacon in the remaining bacon fat.
Drain and crumble bacon on kitchen paper.
In the same shortening, fry onion and garlic in a soft glassy manner.
Extend the onion garlic mixture into the pan and return the ham to the pan with the released meat juice.
Place plum strips next to them, onion and garlic on meat.
Give the cider along the edge in a pan.
hampen covered in about 50 minutes.
Season with salt and pepper.
remove hampen from pan and cut into strips.
Divide the meat into four plates, add the plum sauce and sprinkle the bacon bacon over it.
Delicious with boiled wild and white rice and steamed (Shanghai) pak choi..
