Stewed pears with slavink


A tasty Dutch recipe. The main course contains the following ingredients: meat, onion, dried laurel leaves and De Zeeuwse Boerin kitchen syrup.

Directions

  1. Peel the pears and drizzle with the lemon juice. Cut the onions into four.
  2. Heat the butter in a frying pan. Fry the croquette with the onion in approx. 5 min. A little brown.
  3. Add the pears and add so much boiling water that the pears are almost covered. Add the bay leaves, syrup and lemon juice.
  4. Cook until cooked in approx. 1 1/2 hours.
  5. Spoon the pears, crooked skins and onion with a slotted spoon from the pan onto a bowl. Keep warm under a lid (or aluminum foil).
  6. Allow the cooking water to boil slightly over about 5 minutes on high heat and season with salt and pepper.
  7. Cut the parsley over the pears into pieces. Serve with some steam and boiled potatoes.
