Stewed pears with slavink
A tasty Dutch recipe. The main course contains the following ingredients: meat, onion, dried laurel leaves and De Zeeuwse Boerin kitchen syrup.

Peel the pears and drizzle with the lemon juice. Cut the onions into four.

Heat the butter in a frying pan. Fry the croquette with the onion in approx. 5 min. A little brown.

Add the pears and add so much boiling water that the pears are almost covered. Add the bay leaves, syrup and lemon juice.

Cook until cooked in approx. 1 1/2 hours.

Spoon the pears, crooked skins and onion with a slotted spoon from the pan onto a bowl. Keep warm under a lid (or aluminum foil).

Allow the cooking water to boil slightly over about 5 minutes on high heat and season with salt and pepper.

Cut the parsley over the pears into pieces. Serve with some steam and boiled potatoes.
