Warm smoked salmon in honey-soy marinade


Smoked salmon with a marinade of soy sauce and honey.

Directions

  1. Peel the ginger and cut thin slices in width. Put in a bowl.
  2. Slice the garlic and add to the ginger together with the honey and soy sauce. Stir through.
  3. Cut the salmon fillet into cubes of 2 cm and scoop with the honey-soy marinade. Leave to marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
  4. Light the barbecue.
  5. Soak the wood chips in the smoke tray in plenty of water. Thread the slices of ginger and salmon cubes on and around the skewers.
  6. Slide the coals as they are red hot to one side of the barbecue. Drain the wood chips, put back in the container and put on the hot coals.
  7. Place the grill on the barbecue and place the salmon skewers on the part of the grid where there are no coal underneath. They now receive indirect heat.
  8. Wait until the wood chips start to smoke and then place the lid on the barbecue. Smoke the salmon almost ten minutes in almost 10 minutes.
