Ingredients
Directions
-
Peel the ginger and cut thin slices in width. Put in a bowl.
-
Slice the garlic and add to the ginger together with the honey and soy sauce. Stir through.
-
Cut the salmon fillet into cubes of 2 cm and scoop with the honey-soy marinade. Leave to marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
-
Light the barbecue.
-
Soak the wood chips in the smoke tray in plenty of water. Thread the slices of ginger and salmon cubes on and around the skewers.
-
Slide the coals as they are red hot to one side of the barbecue. Drain the wood chips, put back in the container and put on the hot coals.
-
Place the grill on the barbecue and place the salmon skewers on the part of the grid where there are no coal underneath. They now receive indirect heat.
-
Wait until the wood chips start to smoke and then place the lid on the barbecue. Smoke the salmon almost ten minutes in almost 10 minutes.
