Boil in an asparagus pan or high pan of water. Cut off the woody ends of the asparagus. Peel them thin, from just below the head. Cook them for about 15 minutes until done.

Meanwhile, cut the ham into cubes. Cut the chives finely. Cook the potato slices in approx. 7 minutes until done. Beat the eggs with salt and pepper. Stir in the ham and chives.

Heat the butter in a frying pan. Pour in the egg mixture and stir until the egg starts to solidify. Remove the pan from the heat and stir occasionally.

Melt the rest of the butter in a pan (butter should not turn brown). Serve the asparagus with scrambled eggs, potato slices and melted butter.
