Bacon steaks with fried onions and prunes


A tasty Dutch recipe. The main course contains the following ingredients: meat, stewed pears, redcurrant juice (250 ml), sugar, crumbly potatoes, bacon patties (pure sourdough), butter, onions (in parts), olive oil, vegtable prunes (without seeds (500 g)), red -Wine vinegar and milk.

Directions

  1. Peel the pears but leave the stalk on.
  2. Put them in a pan and pour the berry juice.
  3. Pour water in it until the pears are underneath.
  4. Bring to the boil, add the sugar and cook on low heat for 1 1/2 hours until done.
  5. Peel the potatoes and cook them with salt in about 20 minutes until done.
  6. Meanwhile sprinkle the meat with salt and pepper, heat half of the butter in a frying pan and fry the meat in 2 minutes brown on both sides.
  7. Turn down the heat and roast the meat for about 15 minutes.
  8. Times regularly.
  9. In the meantime, mix together the onion and oil wedges.
  10. Add pepper and salt.
  11. Heat the grill pan and grill the onion over medium heat in about 10 minutes until golden brown.

  18. Stir 2 tablespoons of warm pear juice through the onion mixture.
  19. Divide the meat over four plates, add the onion mixture.
  20. Serve with the mashed potatoes and the cooking pears..
