Beef with soy sauce and herbs


A delicious indonesian recipe. The main course contains the following ingredients: meat, ribs, shallots, garlic, red peppers, macadamia nuts, oil, ketoembar, djinten (ground cumin), sweet soy sauce, vinegar (mild), brown caster sugar, cloves, nutmeg and salt.

Directions

  1. Cut meat into strips.
  2. Chop and shred scallions and garlic.
  3. Halve red pepper, remove seed strips and cut into pieces.
  4. Grind the nuts in a food processor or mince with a knife.
  5. Heat oil in pan and meat in brown cans.
  6. Remove meat from pan on plate.
  7. Bake onion, garlic and peppers gently for about 2 minutes.
  8. Add ketoembar, djinten and nuts and briefly fry.
  9. Return meat to pan.
  10. Add ketchap, vinegar, sugar, cloves, nutmeg, salt and 2 dl of water.
  11. Stir in meat for 1 1/2 hours.
  12. Last 10 minutes remove the lid from the pan, so that cooking fumes can evaporate.
  13. Season with salt and possibly sambal.
  14. Serve with rice and vegetables..
