Chicken Yakitori
Chicken with a marinade of soy sauce, rice wine, ginger, garlic and caster sugar.

Put the soy sauce, caster sugar and mirin in a saucepan. Cut the garlic into slices.

Peel and cut the ginger into thin slices and add together with the garlic.

Bring the yakitori sauce to the boil and simmer for 15 minutes on low heat. Pour through a sieve and collect in a bowl.

Cut the chicken into cubes of 2 x 2 cm. Thread it on the satéprikkers, leaving some space between the cubes.

Brush the chicken skewers with the breadcrumbs with the yakitorisauce.

Heat the grill pan and grill the skewers in 6 minutes until done. Turn them every 30 seconds. and brush them over and over again with the sauce.
