Beat the butter and caster sugar in a bowl with a mixer in 5 min. Airy. Add the syrup, ginger and cinnamon and mix for 1 more minute.

Sift the flour, baking powder and the salt above it. Knead into a cohesive dough ball. Press flat.

Wrap the dough in cling film and place in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
