The Dutch and Spanish cuisine go well together. Try this mashed potato with Spanish sausage.

Directions

  1. Peel the potatoes and cut into equal pieces. Cook in 20 minutes with little water and salt until tender.
  2. Cut the sausage into pieces of approx. 2 cm, the onions in rings and the bell pepper in strips.
  3. In the meantime, preheat the oven to 180 ° C.
  4. Heat a skillet and fry the sausage for 3 minutes. Add the onion and cook for 2 minutes. Add the bell pepper and cook for 2 minutes.
  5. Add the tomato cubes and herbs and season with salt and pepper.
  6. Drain the potatoes and leave to dry for 2 minutes on a hotplate on low heat.
  7. In the meantime, heat the milk in a saucepan. Purée the potatoes with the puree masher or puree cutter.
  8. Beat with a whisk the milk and butter until the puree is thick and smooth.
  9. Put the sausage-vegetable mixture in the baking dish and spread the puree over it. Bake for about 20 minutes in the middle of the oven until the puree is golden brown.
