Poached pear with honey and gorgonzola
Italian dessert of pear poached in white wine with thyme honey and gorgonzola.

Peel the pears and halve them. Using a teaspoon or melon ball spoon, remove the core from each half.

Heat the wine in a pan and add the pears. Poach them for 15 minutes against the boil.

Preheat the oven grill. Scoop the pears from the moisture and place them in the baking dish. Fill the half pears with the gorgonzola. Drop some honey.

Put the pears under the grill for a few minutes, until the cheese begins to melt, but does not color too much.

Serve immediately. Bon appétit! .
