Cut the figs into slices.

Put the oil, vinegar and jam in a bowl and beat with a whisk to a dressing. Season with salt and pepper.

Divide the lettuce over the plates. Cut the unpeeled pear into quarters, and remove the core. Cut the quarters into wedges and spread over the salad.

Divide the duck breast and the figs over the salad and scoop the dressing over it.
