Sicilian garlic prawns
Delicious recipe for grilled giant shrimps with garlic served with tomato salad.

Peel the shrimps and remove the intestinal tract, leave the tail. Grate the orange zest of the orange and squeeze out the fruit. Put the shrimps in a bowl with the grater and 2 tbsp juice.

Remove the leaves from the thyme. Squeeze the garlic over the bowl. Add half of the thyme leaves and the oil. Spoon and leave to marinate for 10 minutes.

Cut the tomatoes into slices and the onion into thin rings. Mix the tomatoes with the onion in a bowl. Add the rest of the juice, the rest of the oil and the rest of the thyme. Season with (freshly ground) pepper, scoop and keep separate.

Thread each shrimp lengthwise on a skewer. Heat the grill pan and grill the skewers in 5 minutes until done. Times regularly. Serve the skewers with the tomato salad. Delicious with a (bread) and lemon mayonnaise (jar 350 ml).
