Cut the meat into strips. Heat the oil in a wok or frying pan and stir fry the meat on high heat 3 min. Take the meat out of the pan.

Cut the stalk of the red pepper. Roll the pepper between your hands so that the seeds fall out. Cut the pepper into rings.

Chop the onion and finely chop the garlic. Fry the onion, garlic and red pepper for 3 minutes on low heat in the remaining shortening.

Stir in the coriander, cumin and nutmeg through the onion mixture and fry briefly. Put the meat back in the pan.

Stir in the ketjapmarinadeen tamarind paste and pour in the stock. Bring to the boil and bring to taste with salt.

Allow the meat to simmer for about 1 hour with the lid on the pan over low heat (on hot plate).
