Steak with caraway sauce
A tasty Dutch recipe. The main course contains the following ingredients: meat, cabbage lettuce, shallots, sweet sour pickles, caraway seed, bacon (slightly thicker cut), butter, (bullet) steaks (a ca. 125 g), salt and (freshly ground) pepper, flour and whipped cream.

Wash, pull out and tear into pieces.

Chop and shred scallops.

Cut cucumbers into slanting slices.

Squash caraway seeds (in mortar with pestle or rolling pin).

Bake bacon very crispy in a dry frying pan.

Heat butter in frying pan and cook medium until tender in approx.

4 minutes, turning halfway.

Remove from pan, sprinkle with salt and pepper and keep warm in aluminum foil.

Bake caraway seeds with shallots for about 1 minute in shortening.

Sprinkle flour over it and gently bake for about 1 minute.

Add whipped cream with stirring and season to taste with salt and pepper.

Add slices of gherkin and briefly heat.

Place the lettuce in the middle of four plates, place the steak on it and then add crispy bacon.

Spread the sauce with slices of sour bomb around it.

Serve with tomato salad and roasted or baked potatoes..
