Sweet-and-sour shrimp


Fried Italian shrimp in sweet and sour sauce with onion, raisin and pine nuts.

Directions

  1. Let the shrimp thaw. Cut the onion into thin rings. Heat the oil in a frying pan and fry the onion for 3 minutes on low heat.
  2. Add the wine and let the onion on very low heat in 30 min. With the lid on the pan soft and cooked. Stir frequently.
  3. Meanwhile, peel the thawed prawns and remove the gut with a sharp knife, but leave the tail.
  4. Dab the shrimps dry and sprinkle with pepper and salt. Heat the oil in a frying pan and fry the shrimp for 5 min.
  5. Add the raisins to the onion and heat for 2 minutes. Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the vinegar.
  6. Put in a bowl and let cool for 10 minutes. Mix in the shrimp. Season with pepper and salt.
  7. Put in the fridge for at least 1 hour.
  8. Heat a frying pan without oil or butter and toast the pine nuts in 3 min. Golden brown. Add to the shrimp mixture.
