Ingredients
Directions
-
Fry the slices of bacon on low heat in a frying pan. Then let it cool down on a plate.
-
Chop the onion finely. Heat the oil in the same pan and fry the onions for 3-4 minutes. Add the garlic and cook for 1 min.
-
Add the ginger powder, cloves and honey and season with salt and pepper.
-
Stir in water and let the mixture cook gently with the lid on the pan for about 1 hour until a thick jam is formed.
-
Add some water if the mixture becomes too thick to your taste.
-
Add the bacon, remove the cloves and puree the jam with the hand blender. Allow to cool. Store in the refrigerator until use.
-
Stir the minced meat with a fork and season with salt and pepper. Form citizens with moist hands.
-
Brush the burgers thinly with the oil. Heat the grill pan and fry the burgers for 6-8 minutes just until done. Keep them warm on a plate under aluminum foil.
-
Cut the cheese into 8 slices. Cut open the ciabattin and roast the cutting edges in the grill pan or toaster brown.
-
Brush the bottom halves of the ciabattinas generously with the jam.
-
Divide the cheese, the burgers, some jam and the arugula. Cover with the upper ciabattina halves.
