Catalan bread with olive puree
A tasty Spanish recipe. The vegetarian side dish contains the following ingredients: black olives (without pit (240 g), drained), fresh thyme (leaves), garlic, paprika (bread), olive oil (for sprinkling), tomatoes (halved) and freshly ground black pepper.
Grind the olives with a hand blender or in a food processor with the thyme and garlic to a fine puree. Spoon the mixture into a dish. Cut the bread into slices of 1 cm thick. Drizzle every slice of bread on both sides with oil.
Put the slices of bread on a greased griddle and grill them in a maximum of 1 minute per side until golden brown and crispy. Rub the tomatoes with the cut surface well over the top of the toasted bread. Sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste and serve with the olive puree separately.
