Chinese marinated pork chop

A nice Chinese recipe. The main course contains the following ingredients: meat, soy sauce, dry sherry, fresh ginger root (peeled and finely chopped), dark brown caster sugar, sesame oil, shoulder chops and spring onions (in thin rings).

Directions

  1. Mix in a bowl the soy sauce with the sherry, ginger root, sugar and sesame oil. Allow the pork chops covered in the refrigerator to marinate for at least 1 hour, turn them occasionally. Let the meat reach room temperature in time.
  2. Remove the chops from the marinade, pat dry and brush both sides with oil. Place the chops on a greased griddle over moderately hot fire and grill them for about 7 minutes per side until done. Sprinkle with pepper to taste. Place the pork chops on a dish and sprinkle the spring onions.
