Fried king prawns with potato chips

A tasty Spanish recipe. The main course contains the following ingredients: fish, sunflower oil (a 1 liter), saltwater shrimp ((bag 500 g, frozen), thawed), potatoes (eg pommes scoop, bag 1 kg), mayonnaise, garlic (pressed), tabasco (red pepper sauce (bottle 57 ml)), chilli (grinder 26 g) and lemon (in parts).

Directions

  1. Heat the oil in the fryer to 180 ° C.
  2. Peel the shrimps, remove the dark colored intestinal tract at the top with a sharp knife and pat dry the shrimps with kitchen paper.
  3. Peel the potatoes and cut 12 large, as thin slices as possible.
  4. This can be done, for example, with a sharp cheese slicer.
  5. Put a satay stick through the bottom of a potato slice, thread a shrimp and then stick the satay stick through the top of the potato slice.
  6. Do this with all 12 king prawns.
  7. Fry half of the king prawns with potato in 2 to 3 minutes until golden brown and done.
  8. Drain on kitchen paper and repeat with the other half.
  9. Mix the mayonnaise with the garlic and season with the tabasco.
  10. Sprinkle the prawns and potato chips with salt and freshly ground chili pepper and add a scoop of garlic mayonnaise.
  11. Serve with the lemon wedges..
