Nipple eczema is an annoying complaint. A skin condition such as eczema can occur on the nipple and areola in pregnant and nursing women. Dry, flaky patches of skin on or around both nipples are visible: crusts on the nipple or around the nipple. Treatment is similar to eczema on other parts of the body. This consists of class II corticosteroid, topically for up to three weeks. If there is no improvement within three weeks, Paget's disease should be considered. This is a rare form of breast cancer.
