The Dutch Heart Foundation has nothing to do with the Heart Foundation diet. The Heart Foundation diet is a diet that is short-lived. You will consume up to 900 calories per day for three days. If you can stick to this, it is possible to lose 4.8 kg in 3 days. It seems so beautiful, but if you fall back into your old eating pattern after this diet, the kilos will come back extra hard. So don't count on a long-term effect on weight. Because you consume a large amount of fat with this diet, it is very bad for the heart and blood vessels. Large amounts of fat can cause arteries to close, causing insufficient oxygen supply to the heart, which can lead to a heart attack, or in the worst case, even cardiac arrest. Disadvantages of the Heart Foundation diet

Because people eat less, this automatically leads to a reduction in the number of nutrients. We need these nutrients to continue functioning properly. The diet lacks many vitamins and minerals. A lack of vitamins and minerals can cause fatigue, headaches and a reduced resistance. With this diet you do not burn much because your body does not consume enough food to burn. When you then revert to your old diet, the combustion will still be very low. This results in you gaining weight faster than before and in turn causes the well-known yo-yo effect.
