Of course you are very proud and you like that people come to visit, but you also have to think about your own peace and that of the baby. That is why it is nice to organize a maternity party 4 to 8 weeks after the birth of the baby. You can invite family, acquaintances and colleagues who are not so close to you to the maternity party. Then you don't have to make a separate appointment with all these people and they can still admire your little one. How do you ensure a successful maternity party?
Invitation

In the birth announcement card you can include a separate text in which you indicate that there is a maternity party or baby shower instead of a maternity visit. You can also choose to put a separate card in the envelope with the invitation to the maternity party. Clearly state where and when the maternity party is, but also what time it starts and what time it ends. Make sure the maternity party is not too long so that it is not too tiring for you and the baby.

Do not give the maternity party at your home, but at your (clean) parents or rent a space somewhere. Then you will not be bothered by all the mess and you can go home to rest immediately after the maternity party. This is certainly recommended if you do not have a large living room and you expect a lot of visitors. If you give birth in the summer and it is dry, you can also choose to celebrate outside.
