Pear, avocado, and lettuce smoothie

  1. Sometimes you just feel like making a quick breakfast. I myself am a fan of smoothies if you have to go somewhere quickly and don't really feel like chewing bread. This smoothie is super healthy because of all the ingredients it contains. The pear is a true autumn fruit and a good source of vitamin A. The avocado provides the vegetable fats that keep your cholesterol low and the lettuce leaves provide the fiber and other important minerals and vitamins.

  1. What do you need?

  1. How do you prepare this recipe?

  1. Grab a blender or smoothie maker and put a handful of lettuce leaves in it. You can buy them prepackaged, but you can also cut them off a crop. Then wash them before you put them in the blender. Wash the pear and cut it into pieces, remove the core as well. Cut the avocado in half and scoop out the flesh. Put it in the smoothie maker or blender too. Add a little water and turn on the blender. Let it run until the fruit is well ground, but you should still be able to see pieces of lettuce. Otherwise you will destroy all fibers and you will consume the energy too quickly.
