The cream can be used several times a day (as needed) to relieve itching and redness and also support skin repair. The cream should only be applied to intact skin. The cream can be used safely on babies, children and adults. However, it is recommended by the manufacturer to consult a doctor for prolonged use or for use on large surfaces. Perfume and preservatives

Skin irritation damages the fats (lipids) of the horny layer (the skin barrier), which act as a natural protection against irritation. Water then escapes from the skin, causing dryness and itching. A weakened skin barrier is less able to protect the body against the penetration of irritants, causing even more itching. Because substances such as perfumes and preservatives are known to irritate the skin, they are not included in the Bepanthen Eczema Cream.

My one and a half year old son and I both have a mild form of eczema that keeps coming back. For both of us, the eczema develops in our arms and knees. In addition, my son also has it under his armpits and I also have it on my hands. In both of us, an eczema outbreak develops red, scaly skin with itchy blisters.
