Copper

  1. Copper firstly contributes to the energy supply of the body and it helps for a good resistance. In addition, it is involved in the pigmentation of the skin. One nashi pear provides 15.3% of the recommended daily amount of copper.

Lots of fiber in the skin of the Nashipeer

  1. The skin of the Nashipeer contains a lot of fiber. Fiber makes it easier for you to digest food. If you buy organic nashi pears you can safely eat the skin. You can also do this with non-organic nashipers as pears are rarely sprayed with pesticides, but if you want to make sure you don't get pesticides, you better buy organic pears.

The Nashipeer prevents a hangover

  1. Researchers from the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (CSIRO) have investigated that the juices of a Nashipeer can prevent a hangover. This will only work if you drink the juices before consuming alcohol. Drinking the juices of the nashi pear will not prevent a hangover after drinking alcohol. According to the CSIRO, not consuming alcohol is always the best way to avoid a hangover.

How do you store nashipers?

  1. You can keep nashipers in the refrigerator for about three months. Outside the refrigerator, nashi pears are fresh for about one week. They are generally good for longer than normal pears.
